EfficientEther has appointed Robin Brandl as a Non-Executive Director. Robin brings a career built around strategic alliances and partnership business development across Microsoft, VMware, NetApp, CloudJumper, and most recently ControlUp, where he served as Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances.
About Robin
Robin's recent roles have focused on driving market presence and revenue growth through alliance and partnership programmes. At ControlUp he led the global alliances function. At NetApp he was Senior Director of Global Microsoft Alliances, where he ran collaborative initiatives with Microsoft and key independent software vendors. Earlier roles at CloudJumper and VMware kept his focus firmly on cloud technologies, particularly Azure and Horizon Cloud implementations.
The pattern across that career is consistent: building durable partner ecosystems on top of Microsoft cloud platforms, in a way that scales without losing the customer-centric edge that makes a partnership work.
Why this matters for EfficientEther
EfficientEther's roadmap is increasingly partner-driven. The Channel Program launched earlier in 2024 has created the operational shape for partners to bring EtherAssist and the wider EfficientEther portfolio to their customers. Robin's experience is directly applicable to taking that programme international and to deepening the relationship with Microsoft and the wider ISV ecosystem we operate inside.
We are delighted to welcome Robin to our board. His experience in alliances, business development, and cloud technologies aligns directly with our mission to deliver AI-driven solutions that optimise cloud expenditure and support sustainable practices. His leadership will provide invaluable strategic insight as we scale.
Ryan Mangan, CEO, EfficientEther
What is next
Robin's focus will be on EfficientEther's growth initiatives, particularly in AI, cost optimisation, and reducing the carbon footprint of customer cloud operations. Further partner and product milestones are scheduled across the next two quarters.
