EfficientEther

See the AI already in use across your tenant, then decide.

EtherInsights finds the AI apps your users consented to, tags where each one sends data, places it by how urgently it needs a decision, and says what it couldn't read.

Who invited the AI note-taker?

Find the AI apps your users let in, AI meeting note-takers included. The board, your customers and your auditor now ask the same four questions.

What AI are we using?

Read from the tenant, not gathered by survey: the AI apps users consented to, AI websites by domain (preview), Azure AI services and Copilot.

Where does our data go?

Every item is tagged on-device, Microsoft tenant or third party, so the answer is on the page.

What did we decide?

Sanctioned, monitored or unsanctioned, with an owner and a date on every decision.

What couldn't we read?

Nothing fails silently. Every check says what it couldn't read, so anything unread shows as "Not read", never as none found, and no verdict is given where a check did not run.

Every AI app your users let in, with a decision beside it.

Each source adds rows, and each row carries its decision and who made it.

Turn a decision into a control, without leaving the page.

Discovery stays read-only. Controls are opt-in, run with your own Microsoft sign-in, are confirmed before they run and can be undone.

ControlHow it stays safe
Limit an AI app to chosen groupsApplied to the groups you pick, nobody else.
Block an app with Conditional AccessCreated in report-only mode, so you see who it would affect before anyone switches it on.
Revoke an app's consentConfirmed before it runs, and undoable from Controls.
Warn or block an AI website on devices (preview)Warn first, block when you are ready, on devices with Defender for Endpoint network protection.
Require approval for new AI appsNew consent requests come to a named approver.

Who's actually using Copilot, and what can it see?

Before a rollout, find the gaps and check the sharing that would put files in front of Copilot. After it, see each person's last activity, app by app, and the seats nobody uses.

EtherInsights Copilot readiness verdict: Blocked at 2.6 of 5.0, 54 gaps to close, Adoption readiness 88%, Technical readiness 83%, Security foundation 40%, Data governance 34%, Data sources 24. Sample data.

Different from EtherAssist. EtherAssist is the AI assistant your IT team uses. AI governance in EtherInsights shows the AI everyone else is using.

AI governance from a company certified to govern its own AI: EfficientEther holds ISO/IEC 42001.

Asked by security and IT leads.

Can it block AI tools?

It acts on the AI apps users consented to in your tenant: limit them to chosen groups, set up a Conditional Access block in report-only mode or revoke consent. Each control is opt-in, confirmed first and undoable. It does not stop a guest's meeting bot or what someone pastes into an AI website.

Is this a compliance certification?

No. It gives you evidence and decisions, and certification stays with your auditor. EfficientEther is itself certified to ISO/IEC 42001 for the way it governs its own AI.

What does it cost?

AI governance is part of EtherInsights at £0.79, $1 or €1 per licensed user a month, with a 14-day trial on your own tenant.

Four things you can check on your own tenant.

Seats nobody uses. Changes nobody noticed. AI nobody approved. EtherInsights finds all three across your Microsoft estate, gives each one an owner, and keeps the proof. From £0.79 a user a month.

Seats, changes and AI, one price.

Seats nobody uses, changes nobody noticed and AI nobody approved, found in one platform. The waste becomes one annual figure your finance lead can read, with a date to beat: your renewal.

An owner on every finding.

Each finding says what to cut, who owns it and what it is worth. The savings report tracks what was actually cut.

A savings report with an owner, an action and a value on every line

Nothing fails silently.

Every leaver closed, checked and filed. Every check says what it couldn't read: anything unread shows as "Not read", never as zero. Read-only by default, and changes are opt-in, run under your own admin's delegated sign-in.
