Eight months in, EfficientEther has gone from a founding-team idea to a working product portfolio with paying customers. This update covers what is coming next on the EfficientEther Platform and the new release of EtherAssist version 1.1.5.

EfficientEther Platform

The EfficientEther Platform, our intelligent cloud cost and sustainability product, is close to release. It addresses one of the most pressing problems in enterprise IT today: the shift from perpetual licensing to subscription models, and the operational disorder that follows. Customers tell us the same story in different shapes. They have too many subscriptions, no consolidated view of them, and no consistent way to act on what they find. The platform is designed to take that data, make sense of it, and turn it into a prioritised list of practical optimisation steps.

EtherAssist 1.1.5

EtherAssist 1.1.5 is now available. The release brings substantial improvements across the assistant's capabilities, driven by direct customer feedback over the past quarter.

Highlights include:

  • Enhanced query handling, including support for log files and a wider range of input formats.
  • Reusable templates for routine tasks such as drafting communications and statements of work.
  • A refreshed user interface with a more intuitive flow.
  • The Context-Driven Topic Retrieval Engine (CDTRE), which improves response accuracy by grounding answers in topic-specific context.
  • A user-initiated iterative refinement option for queries that need additional detail or verification.
  • A new API for programmatic access.
  • A new PowerShell module that brings EtherAssist into scripting and automation workflows.
  • More transparent billing with detailed token usage reports accessible via UI and API.
  • An Azure Marketplace listing.
  • Comprehensive product documentation.

Why these matter

The common thread across this release is operational fit. The PowerShell module and API make EtherAssist usable inside existing automation workflows. CDTRE and the iterative refinement option make the assistant's answers more grounded, which matters in environments where a wrong answer carries real cost. The reporting and Marketplace work make the assistant easier to procure and govern at scale.
