EtherAssist Version 2 is now generally available. The release lands native Microsoft Teams integration, expanded Microsoft Intune support, document workflow automation, and a new documentation site. The aim is simple: bring AI-driven IT assistance into the surfaces where IT teams already work.
What is new in Version 2
Seven changes shape this release:
- Microsoft Teams integration. EtherAssist runs inside Microsoft Teams, so administrators can troubleshoot issues, generate PowerShell scripts, and collaborate without leaving their primary workspace.
- Document workflow automation. Administrators can import reusable templates into chat, drop in project data, and have EtherAssist draft final documents (statements of work, completion reports) in the agreed style ready for review.
- Enhanced platform intelligence. More accurate responses, better handling of modified scripts, and stronger contextual understanding of complex follow-up questions.
- Microsoft Intune support. Initial Intune support lets EtherAssist surface device data, with deeper Intune capabilities scheduled for follow-up releases.
- EtherInsights integration. Customers can use their EtherAssist subscription natively inside EtherInsights, bringing AI assistance into the broader analytics and reporting platform.
- New documentation site. A new site at docs.etherassist.ai covers technical guides, onboarding resources, and the API reference.
- Streamlined onboarding. A redesigned welcome experience and privacy-respecting learning videos make first-week adoption faster.
Why it matters
AI now plays a central role in how modern IT teams operate, particularly inside Microsoft environments. The pattern that consistently makes the biggest difference is putting the assistance where the work already happens. Teams is where many IT teams live during their working day. Bringing PowerShell generation, troubleshooting, and document drafting into Teams compresses the path between question and answer to almost nothing.
AI now plays a central role in how modern IT teams operate, especially across Microsoft environments. Version 2 builds on that with the automation, insight, and accessibility teams need to support users and systems more effectively.

Microsoft Teams is where many IT teams already work every day. By embedding EtherAssist directly into Teams, we give users access to automation, script generation, and live troubleshooting without ever leaving their collaboration space.

What customers see
Existing customers receive Version 2 automatically. New users see a faster onboarding flow, a Teams app they can install in minutes, and a documentation site that makes scaling EtherAssist across a team or MSP practice straightforward. The Intune integration is the first of several in the wider Microsoft modern-management space; more follow over the coming releases.
